Cover to Cover: 2024 Reading Challenge
Adults and Teens in Tuscarawas County are encouraged to participate in the County Library’s Cover to Cover Reading Challenge. Participants are challenged to read 20 different books from specific genres throughout 2024. Those who complete the challenge will receive a free umbrella inscribed with the words “I’d Rather Be Reading.”

Interested participants can download the Beanstack Tracker app on any smartphone or tablet or visit tusclibrary.beanstack.org on the web. A paper version of the challenge will also be offered in the latest edition of Between the Lines – the library programming newsletter is delivered by mail to homes within the Library’s service district in Tuscarawas County.

Tobacco Free Policy

In compliance with ORC Chapter 3794, and in order to provide a healthy and comfortable environment for its customers and employees, the Tuscarawas County Public Library System does not permit smoking of any kind or the use of tobacco or its substitutes on the premises of its main or branch library facilities, which include sidewalks, parking lots, and library owned vehicles.

Art Exhibit and Display Policy

The Tuscarawas County Public Library System welcomes artists and collectors of all disciplines to display their works and collections. Exhibits and collections will not be excluded because of the race or nationality or the social, political, or religious views of the artist or collector. Exhibits and displays are intended for the cultural, informational, and recreational enjoyment of our residents.

Seed Library

The Seed Library, located in a former card catalog of the Adult Department of the Main Library, now in the Lobby, holds seeds for locally grown vegetables and flowers. Most are harvested from actual plants grown by fellow gardeners.

The Seed Library is set up for individuals to check out seeds they are interested in growing, save seeds from the flowers or vegetables grown, and return a portion of the saved seed to the library for others to use next year.

Museum Passes

The Tuscarawas County Public Library is pleased to offer Museum Passes, a service that provides free passes to area attractions!
Museum Passes check out for 5 days.
There is a late fee of $1.00/day.
Museum passes not returned after 30 days will incur replacement costs (up to $80).
Museum passes must be returned in person, not in a book drop, to avoid getting lost or stolen.
