2nd Annual Sustainable Living Faire
The 2nd Annual Sustainable Living Faire will be held on February 22nd from 10:00 AM-3:00 PM at the Main Library at 121 Fair Ave NW in New Philadelphia. Guests can expect to meet local vendors and organizations as they explore homesteading, traditional skills, and renewable resources.

The County Library has partnered with local businesses, area organizations, and community members who embrace all levels of sustainable living to create this free afternoon event. The Saturday event will focus on demonstrations and hands-on activities from places including Rural Action, Angel Family Farms, Healer’s Mark, Terra Depot, Brigadoon Homestead, and more.

Bestowing a Book

Would you like to give a special gift in celebration of a birthday or anniversary? Would you like to celebrate the memory of a loved one? Consider commemorating the people and events that are special to you by bestowing a book to one of our library locations in honor of your loved one or event. You decide the dollar amount and, if you’d like, the subject or age group of the material. We’ll select an appropriate item, include a name plate per your instructions, and notify the person or family of the gift you have given.

Donating Gently Used Books and Audiovisual Materials

The Tuscarawas County Public Library welcomes donations of new and gently used books and audiovisual materials. Below is a set of criteria that describes the types of materials we accept anytime during the year, the types of materials we accept during designated times prior to a Friends of the Library book sale, and the types of materials that we are unable to accept at any time.

What is it?

AncestryLibrary is a subscription database containing genealogical information. More than 4,000 databases includes: census data, passengers list, and birth, marriage and death records. Search by name, by where a person lived or browse by region or state. The Map Center contains maps from across the United States. Data is complied from Social Security Death Index, U.S. Federal Census, UK Census Collection, Immigration and military records, court, land, probate records and more.

Library Cards

Getting a library card is easy! You can come into one of our five TCPL locations to register or you can print off the Library Card Registration Form below, complete your information, and bring it to the library. Be sure to bring a photo ID and a document, like a piece of mail or a bill, that shows your current address. If your current address is on your driver's license, that's all you need.
Tuscarawas County Public Library cards are issued free of charge. Customers under 18 may apply for a card only when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

The Main Library of the Tuscarawas County Public Library System is your one-stop for passport and photo service needs. To schedule an appointment please, call 330-364-4474 ext. 231. *Please note that if you are more than 15 minutes late for an appointment, you will have to reschedule.*
