Cover to Cover

Adults and Teens in Tuscarawas County are encouraged to participate in the County Library’s Cover to Cover Reading Challenge. Participants are challenged to read 20 different books from specific genres throughout 2024. Those who complete the challenge will receive a free umbrella inscribed with the words “I’d Rather Be Reading.”

“Over the last few years our reading challenges have become very popular with our customers,” said Adult Services Manager Robyn Guedel. “The challenge encourages them to read outside of their comfort zone to receive a fun prize.”

Interested participants can download the Beanstack Tracker app on any smartphone or tablet or visit tusclibrary.beanstack.org on the web. A paper version of the challenge will also be offered in the latest edition of Between the Lines – the library programming newsletter is delivered by mail to homes within the Library’s service district in Tuscarawas County.

According to Guedel, Beanstack allows library customers to track their reading and earn badges for each title they read.

Examples of the different genres and challenges included in this program range from reading a book that gives you joy and reading a book written by a debut author to challenging participants to read a book with a number in the title.

The Cover to Cover Reading Challenge runs through December 31st, 2024. Participants are only eligible to complete the challenge once.
