2025 Reading Challenge TUSCARAWAS COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY SYSTEM JANUARY - MAY 2025 2nd Annual Sustainable Living Faire
2 ] www.tusclibrary.org Director’s Notes For many of us, the New Year includes goals we hope to achieve and plans for new things we want to try. As I look through this Winter-Spring issue of Between the Lines, I am reminded that the Library is the perfect companion for our New Year endeavors. Learning through a lifetime is what libraries are about. In this issue, you can read about the pre-literacy skills our youngest customers gain when they attend the Library’s early learning programs. You can read about sessions with English language and reading tutors. In Technology and MakerSpace classes, you can explore a new skill. In budget conscious programs, you can learn ways to stretch your household budget. If connection is your hope for 2025, the Library offers opportunities to come together with others around common interests. Book lovers at a book club, parents at Storytimes, or researchers at a genealogy class – there are many opportunities at the Library for connection and friendship. This year, the Library is also a place to connect with community services. Check out the Community Connections section on page 11 to see when agencies and organizations will be holding regular office hours at our Main Library. In addition to newfound connections, your year also won’t be short on entertainment with the Library. Your Library card can provide you with an endless supply of reading, listening, and viewing materials. This issue also outlines author talks, animal encounters, and guest speaker programs that are sure to be of interest. Let the Library be your companion to a fulfilling 2025 for you and your family. We look forward to seeing you!
