Free Technology Classes

Tuscarawas County Public Library customers can grow their technology knowledge and skills by attending free technology training opportunities and classes this summer.

“We offer technology classes for a variety of skill and interest levels,” said Technology Training Coordinator Leigh Burnham. “We have several options available to help you learn and gain confidence in using technology in your own life.”

Customers wanting one-on-one assistance and instruction on downloading and streaming books, videos, and magazines with the library’s resources can call the library to schedule a Book-A-Librarian appointment. Customers wanting one-on-one assistance with a MakerSpace project can call the library to schedule a MakerSpace Assistance appointment with a staff member. Customers who have a tech, computer, or gadget question can book a one-on-one session with the library’s IT staff.

In addition to these one-on-one appointment offerings, the County Library offers instructional classes on library apps, MakerSpace equipment, basic email, and computer software at its Main Library. Burnham said that some people take these classes to refresh their skills and some to learn the skills for the first time.
