The Tuscarawas County Public Library announces that it has a vacancy on its Board of Trustees due to the expiring term of its Tuscarawas representative Kait Gallagher-Wilsterman.
This vacancy is one of three Board positions (out of seven) appointed by the Court of Common Pleas. Applicants for this board position must be residents of the Tuscarawas County Public Library District in Tuscarawas County and live in Tuscarawas, Midvale, Port Washington, or Waynewright areas. Based upon Ohio Revised Code, trustees of County Library Boards serve seven-year terms. The term for this board position will expire on December 31, 2031.
The Tuscarawas County Public Library consists of mobile services and five facilities located in New Philadelphia, Bolivar, Strasburg, Sugarcreek, and Tuscarawas. The Board of Trustees includes representatives from each of these communities. The Board meets on the third Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the Main Library in New Philadelphia.
