Enjoy a self-guided tour of eight different gardens around Tuscarawas County.

  1. Ernest Warther’s Museum and Gardens — Follow the paths and walk the steps past the stone wall to view a Swiss-style garden created by Frieda Warther dating back to the early 1900s. This garden contains a 100+-year-old grape arbor, flint rocks, and arboretum designed by Frieda who started the Dover Garden Club.
  2. Harvest Garden — Wander around this large vegetable patch on a quaint city lot in New Philadelphia. View the many veggies, herbs, and flowers, as well as their outdoor wood-fired oven.
  3. Olde Tyme Farms — This gardening duo has turned their passion into a homestead farm in Stone Creek. Their organic garden includes fruit trees, vegetables, microgreens, and herbs in a 100’ high tunnel. A pollinator plot provides a food supply for their beehives and sandstone seating around the farm is created from the original 1900s bank barn foundation.
  4. Pollinator Haven — Explore this garden designed to support a bio-diverse ecosystem in Dover with its native plants, seed library, and edible landscape. Other features include a bio-retention planter, rain garden, low-grow lawn alternatives, and butterfly host plants.
  5. Reeves Victorian Home & Carriage House Museum — A historic Victorian home in Dover uses the elements of garden design typical to the Victorian Era to make its gardens unique and unforgettable. Some features awaiting visitors include a separate formal rose garden, a Victorian carpet bed, a butterfly habitat, and a large perennial border.
  6. Six Bucket Farms — Enjoy this cut flower farm located on a 90-acre pig farm along State Route 416. This one-acre flower garden consists of raised garden beds containing annuals and perennials to offer fresh-cut bouquets throughout the growing season.
  7. Stull’s Arboretum and Botanical Garden — This park-like urban oasis in Dover is maintained by award-winning floral designers. It is a certified wildlife habitat featuring a critter feeding station amongst conifers, perennials, and life-size sculptures.
  8. Woodland Retreat — Enter this private driveway off 7 Mile Drive to view this wooded hilltop home with its shade gardens. Other features include raised garden beds, year-round herbs, berry bushes, and fruit trees.
