The panel discussion was planned by the Library’s Diversity Committee in hopes to increase understanding of the experiences of people of color by providing the opportunity to hear from a panel, from different walks of life, that consists of individuals of color who live in or grew up in Tuscarawas County.
Panelists include Perci Garner, Account Executive for ComDoc, Inc.; Chyna Wright, Director for Volunteers of America, Liberty Landing; Mel Anderson, a veteran of US Marines; and Yuliza Velasquez as well as several others. Dr. Nicole Willey from Kent State Tuscarawas will serve as a moderator.
Registration is required for the panel discussion. Participants may submit panel questions at the time of registration, as well as during the program.
Those interested in exploring race relations and social justice further can visit the library’s website at tusclibrary.org/socialjustice.
