Sun, Mar 3, 2024 -- Main - Murder Mystery Dinner Fundraiser at 1:00 PM

The Friends of Tuscarawas County Public Librarys Main Library will host their 3rd Annual Murder Mystery Dinner on Saturday, March 2nd at 6:30 PM and Sunday, March 3rd at 1:00 PM. The Friends of the Main Library is a 501(c)3 organization that raises funds for special projects at the library.

The Murder Mystery Dinner is $50 per person and requires tickets to be purchased in advance at the Main Library in New Philadelphia. Tickets can be purchased by cash, check, or card. Tickets purchased with a card will have a $3 per ticket transaction fee. Reservations are required by February 26th.

The murder mystery written by Tamara Benson involves a group of murder mystery enthusiasts who dress up as their favorite detectives will hold a memorial service for one of their members who died. However, a detective arrives and reveals that the deceased was actually murdered and all members are suspects. Ticketholders are encouraged to dress in their favorite costumes to add to the ambiance of the evening.

Dinner, which is included with each ticket, will feature a buffet-style dinner from Kathys Catering. After dinner, guests will be able to ask questions to help determine who is the culprit, and those at each table will put forth theories after the interrogations. The table with the best guess will be the winner.
