Little Acorns Greenhouse and Nursery — This family-owned business in Port Washington offers numerous greenhouse flowers, vegetables, hanging baskets, containers, and more. The multi-season landscape surrounding the home and business includes water, vegetable, and wildflower gardens, as well as bird-friendly features throughout the property. Olive Hill Homestead — Travel down a dirt road to this property in Newcomerstown to see this 4,000-square-foot vegetable garden. The edible landscape includes peas, squash, zucchini, cucumbers, tomatoes, beans, potatoes and more. Explore the cut flower garden while asking the gardener about her canning methods and sourdough start. Redrock Farm — Located in the valleys of Port Washington, this family farm provides homegrown produce and flower arrangements to the community. The farm includes a wide variety of produce planted along with flowers and herbs. View the custom-built raised flower beds, berry bushes, and grapes vines before exploring the hillside corn and pumpkin patch. Radharc Ranch — Follow the gravel road to explore the diverse vegetable gardens with flowers and herbs scattered throughout this ranch located in Port Washington. Check out the unique cattle panel trellises and learn about the heirloom plants this gardener grows. The Gardens of Soil & Substance — Explore this garden in New Philadelphia which showcases the joys of both an artist’s heart and a gardener’s wonder. Meander down “Bloomington Avenue” to experience seasonal pockets of bright perennial, tropical, and annual color. Make a turn along the Twisted Willow -natural fence row in training- and pass the raised beds on “Blackberry Lane” for a glimpse over the berries and into the veggie plot. Along the way be sure to notice the hand dug pathways, colorful containers, frugal and home-crafted trellises, and thrifted treasures throughout. Notes for a pleasant tour: 1. Tickets are available for purchase at our five TCPL locations: Main Library in New Philadelphia, Bolivar, Strasburg, Sugarcreek, and Tuscarawas. 2. Once you have your ticket, keep it with you throughout the tour. You will be required to present it upon entry at each garden. 3. Addresses for each garden can be found on the back of your ticket. 4. You may tour the sites in any order you choose, and we hope you stick around to enjoy the wonderful restaurants in the area. 5. Start early so you can visit all of the sites. 6. Please wear shoes you can walk in safely and comfortably. Touring the gardens will involve walking and may involve uneven ground.
