TUSCARAWAS COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY SYSTEM SEPTEMBER - DECEMBER 2022 Programs & Services

2 ] www.tusclibrary.org Director’s Notes It may be the teacher in me, but fall always feels like a time of new beginnings. It is a time of excitement and a time full of possibility. We believe the public library is where place and possibility meet. One of the things I enjoy most about working in a public library is the opportunity to serve our communities in the ways that mean the most to those communities. This fall, our library system is working with consultants from the State Library of Ohio to create a new strategic plan that will guide the work and activities of our library system for the next few years. The process of creating this strategic plan begins with you. We need your ideas. We invite you to share your thoughts in our community survey. By sparing a few minutes of your time you can help the library better serve you and your community. You can respond online by scanning the QR code on the back of this issue or by visiting our website at www.tusclibrary.org/survey. If you prefer, you can pick up a paper copy at any of our library locations. Anyone completing the survey can choose to be entered into a drawing for a $100.00 Amazon gift card. The community survey will be open through October 7th. “The public library is where place and possibility meet.” ~ Stuart Dybek Sincerely, Michelle McMorrow Ramsell DISCOVER IN THIS ISSUE FEATURED EVENTS: One Book, One Community ........... 8-9 Wine & Paint ....................................... 14 Adelante Arts Reception .................. 17 PROGRAMMING: Adults ................................................. 4-7 Book Clubs and Discussions ......... 10-11 Mobile Services .................................. 12 Technology ......................................... 15 Teens .............................................. 16-17 Animal Encounters ............................. 18 Family Fun ........................................... 18 School-Age ........................................ 20 Emerging Learners ......................... 22-23 Strasburg Branch 356 5th Street SW Strasburg, OH 44680 330-878-5711 Monday 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Tuesday 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM Wednesday 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Thursday 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM Friday 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM Saturday 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Sugarcreek Branch 120 South Broadway Sugarcreek, OH 44681 330-852-2813 Monday 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Tuesday 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM Wednesday 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Thursday 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM Friday 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM Saturday 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Tuscarawas Branch 209 South Main Street Tuscarawas, OH 44682 740-922-2748 Monday 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Tuesday 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM Wednesday 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Thursday 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM Friday 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM Saturday 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Mobile Services 121 Fair Avenue NW New Philadelphia, OH 44663 330-364-4474 ext. 250 All locations will be closed: • September 1st until 1:00 PM • September 5th • November 3rd until 1:00 PM • November 24th • December 24th, 26th, and 31st Main Library 121 Fair Avenue NW New Philadelphia, OH 44663 330-364-4474 Monday-Thursday 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM Friday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Saturday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Bolivar Branch 455 West Water Street Bolivar, OH 44612 330-874-2720 Monday 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Tuesday 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM Wednesday 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Thursday 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM Friday 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Saturday 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM 3 REGISTER TO VOTE You are a c i t i zen of the Un i ted States .
