Stories, Tales, & Legends from Haunted Places

Join us at the Tuscarawas County Public Library on Thursday, March 23rd at 6:30 PM as author, magician, and entertainer Jim Kleefeld presents a program for adults titled Ohio Spirits: Stories, Tales, & Legends from Haunted Places in Ohio.

While this program is geared toward adults, Jim holds multiple degrees in theater and childhood education from Cleveland State University. He has performed for libraries in every county and every major city in Ohio. Currently, Jim is a full-time performer, presenting hundreds of school assembly programs each year in schools all over Ohio.

“This is not just a lecture, but an interactive program where spectators can handle and operate some of the props,” says Kleefeld. According to Kleefeld, he promises to provide some “truly eerie moments” during the talk. Kleefeld will cover many haunted happenings taking place in the state and give information on places such as the Mansfield Reformatory, the Franklin Castle, The Golden Lamb, and more.

Those interested in seeing strange artifacts and hearing stories of maddeningly scary events, can visit the library’s online registration calendar or call the Main Library at 330-364-4474. The Main Library is located at 121 Fair Ave NW, New Philadelphia.
