Shark Adventures at the County Library

Celebrate sharks this summer with the Tuscarawas County Public Library System during Shark Adventures July 25th through July 30th.

“We will be closing out summer reading at the County Library with a focus on shark adventures ,” said Public Services Associate Megan Kovalaske-Grimm. “We invite families to spend a week exploring sharks through crafts, science experiments, parties, and an interactive science show.”

Programs include:

  • Make-It & Take-It Shark Craft during the month of July at the Bolivar Branch (455 West Water Street in Bolivar)
  • Make-It & Take-It Shark Sun Catcher Craft during the month of July at the Tusky Branch (209 South Main Street in Tuscarawas)
  • Craft Making Monday on July 25th from 2:00 PM -7:00 PM: Stop in to create a fun shark craft for kids in Grades K-5. (Main Library, 121 Fair Ave. NW in New Philadelphia)
  • Mr. Molecule Shark Tank Science on July 25th at 6:30 PM: Get Sea-rious about science! Mr. Molecule with take young audiences deep beneath the waves to meet some of the most amazing and unusual creatures on the planet. Limit: 80. (Main Library)
  • Last Bite of Summer Party on July 26th from 4:00-7:00 PM: Stop in anytime during program hours to play games, have snacks, and celebrate sharks at the Tusky Branch.
  • Drop-In S.T.E.A.M. – Shark on July 26th from 5:30-7:30 PM Drop in to the Children’s Department of the Main Library to create a S.T.E.A.M. project, win prizes for quizzing your knowledge, and help with an experiment!
  • Shark Science – July 28th at 2:00 PM: Explore this predator through hands-on experiments for kids in Grades K-2. Limit: 25 (Main Library)
  • Jaw-Some Activity – July 28th at 6:00 PM: Join us as we explore and learn about sharks through different activities and crafts at the Bolivar Branch. Limit: 10.
