The Friends of Tuscarawas County Public Library’s Main Library will host their 2nd Annual Murder Mystery Dinner Fundraiser on Saturday, March 4th at 6:30 PM and Sunday, March 5th at 1:00 PM. The Friends of the Main Library are a 501(c)3 organization that raises funds for special projects at the library.

The Murder Mystery Dinner is $50 per person and requires tickets to be purchased in advance at the Main Library in New Philadelphia. Tickets can be purchased by cash, check, or card. Tickets purchased with card will have a $3 per ticket transaction fee. Reservations are required by February 24th.

According to Friends President Candy Beaber, the comedic murder mystery was written by Tamara Benson and will be set in the 1940s during World War II. Ticketholders are encouraged to dress in 1940’s costumes to add to the ambiance of the evening.

Dinner, which is included with each ticket, will feature a buffet-style dinner from Kathy’s Catering and includes baked chicken, roast beef, seven-layer salad, broccoli salad, parsley potatoes, Johnny Marzetti, rolls, and four desserts.

After dinner, guests will be able to ask questions to help determine who is the culprit, and those at each table will put forth theories after the interrogations. The table with the best guess will be the winner.

This fundraising event is sponsored in partnership by New Phila VFW 1445 and DoverPhila Credit Union.

The Main Library is located at 121 Fair Ave. NW in New Philadelphia. For more information on the show, call 330-364-4474 ext. 221.
