Cover to Cover: 2024 Reading Challenge
Adults and Teens in Tuscarawas County are encouraged to participate in the County Library’s Cover to Cover Reading Challenge. Participants are challenged to read 20 different books from specific genres throughout 2024. Those who complete the challenge will receive a free umbrella inscribed with the words “I’d Rather Be Reading.”

Interested participants can download the Beanstack Tracker app on any smartphone or tablet or visit tusclibrary.beanstack.org on the web. A paper version of the challenge will also be offered in the latest edition of Between the Lines – the library programming newsletter is delivered by mail to homes within the Library’s service district in Tuscarawas County.

It’s the 1949 Midwest Inventor’s Symposium and we are all invited for the final day of judging and the announcement of the winner of this year’s “Invention of the Year”! Emcee Dr. Grayson Genius has his hands full trying to keep the nominees in check as tempers flare and egos get out of hand. Is it professional jealousy, or are there more secrets adding fuel to the fire? Everyone knows winning isn’t everything…RIGHT? Ticketholders are encouraged to dress in 1940s costumes to add to the ambiance of the evening. Tickets can be purchased by cash, check, or card.

The Pop-Up Library, a part of Mobile Services, will be making regular stops around the county. Our Pop-Up Library offers materials available to check out like books, DVDs, games, and more. Attendees can also sign up for a library card or register for programs. To make hold requests, please call 330-364-4474 ext. 250. Be sure to let them know which Pop-Up Library stop you would like your items to be delivered to.
